  The company "UNIPROM" d.o.o. was founded in 1992. At that time, the company "UNIRPOM" was the second registered company in Montenegro, whose main activity was metals and the metal sector. In 1994, "Uniprom" opened the first factory (foundry) based in Nikšić with a capacity of 1,500 tons per month. Due to the achieved results and export orientation in the years 2003, 2004 and 2005, Uniprom was declared by the "Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro" as the second company in terms of exports on the foreign market, after "Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica", which in that period was owned by the State.

  In 2014, "Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica" went into bankruptcy. Taking into account the experience, knowledge, and materiality in the aluminium industry market, and business history, "UNIPROM" made a business decision to buy the assets of the former "Aluminium Plant Podgorica" in bankruptcy with the aim and idea of continuing work, organization, the revival of aluminium production in Montenegro.

  By the experience of over 30 years in this sector (metal and aluminium industry), "UNIPROM" approached the entire process in a strategic and organized manner, started a new type of organization in the Combine, established the work of the combine on a sustainable basis and ensured that the combine operates independently and to market its products on foreign markets, making up 50% of the total Montenegrin output. In addition to the metal industry, the company Uniprom deals with the hotel industry and owns two luxury hotels, one on the Montenegrin coast, in Budva, and the other in the capital, Podgorica. Today, within the company "UNIPROM" four companies are operating, namely:
  
  a) Uniprom D.O.O. (KAP) - production of aluminium and aluminium products;
  b) Uniprom Metali D.O.O. Nikšić - bauxite mining;
  c) Uniprom Energy - distribution of KPG and TPG;
  d) Uniprom Hotels - Hotel Budva in Budva and Hotel Ziya in Podgorica.
